Mark is an owner and principal with the Sinatro agency. Mark is deeply involved, and active in helping small businesses clients and individuals, manage their risk with a variety of insurance programs and products.
Prior to his professional career, at the University of Connecticut, Mark earned a varsity letter in each of his four years as a Huskies tennis player. As a senior, his teammates voted Mark the captain of the squad, and his play earned him a place on the All-New England team.
In 2002, Mark was honored to be selected as a recipient of the Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty Award. Each year, this award is presented to recognize outstanding young professionals in the Greater Hartford area that are excelling in their industries.
Mark has been an active participant in the West Hartford community for his entire life. As a business owner and resident, Mark understands the needs of the community and knows why he should give back to the community. Mark has also worked hard not just providing donations and time, but more importantly in creating sustainable long-term plans and visions for the organizations he assists.
In 2015, Mark along with his father Pat made Uconn Athletic history by being named co-recipients of the “Red Oneil” award – the top honor of any former athlete at the University of Connecticut, awarded each year to outstanding candidates that achieved high athletic honors while playing for the University and great success as graduates in their chosen professions.
Mark’s professional accomplishments include twice being named the Travelers Insurance Agent of the Year. He has earned the “Elite Agent” distinction from Travelers and is a Safeco Insurance Quality Service Award Winner, according to UConn. Mark has previously, or currently serves as a member of the UConn Club Board of Directors, UConn Foundation Trustee, trustee for the Foundation for the Advancement of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of Hartford, and a former member of the State of Connecticut Boxing Commission. Mark also serves on the Board of the Justice Education Center, helping at-risk youth throughout Connecticut.
